Regular Selectboard Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday  of the month at 6:30 PM.  Selectboard Meetings are held in the Collier Room at the Town Hall.  For the months of April, July, October and February, the Selectboard Meetings will be held at St. Michael’s Hall on The Bend Road in Greensboro Bend.  All are welcome.

The Greensboro Selectboard is a five member board that, with the actions taken at Town Meeting provides the legislative arm of town government. The Selectboard is responsible for the management of the roads, for enacting ordinances and policies, and for handling all other situations that are not specifically delegated by law to other officials.

The Town of Greensboro recently voted to eliminate the Office of the Listers.  The Town has engaged the services of a licensed assessor, Stearns Allen, to perform the same duties.  The Town Assessor is responsible for determining the fair market value of all property in town.  Preparation of the annual Grand List, assisting residents with their homestead declarations, answering questions regarding the States Current Use program and reviewing the State’s annual equalization study are a few of the regular duties of our Assessor.  If you have any questions regarding  property value’s in town,  please contact the Assessor’s office.

Please remember that if your property is in the newly created Shoreland Protection District (which includes both Caspian and Eligo Lakes) there are additional requirements for building and for developing on your parcel.
