The Town of Greensboro recently voted to eliminate the Office of the Listers.  The Town has engaged the services of a licensed assessor, Stearns Allen, to perform the same duties.  The Town Assessor is responsible for determining the fair market value of all property in town.  Preparation of the annual Grand List, assisting residents with their homestead declarations, answering questions regarding the States Current Use program and reviewing the State’s annual equalization study are a few of the regular duties of our Assessor.  If you have any questions regarding  property value’s in town,  please contact the Assessor’s Office.
